Thank you for purchasing Leap. This documentation contains all the necessary details for the installation and complete working of the Plugin. If you need any further help , you can register in our support forums .

Support is available 10 AM to 7 PM IST on Weekdays and off on weekends. Reply usually takes 24 hours, but in rare cases may take up to 48 hours max.

Installation

How to install the plugin ?

  1. Download the zip package from codecanyon and unzip it.
  2. Inside that you will find a zip folder called leap_chat.zip. Do not upload the zip you get from codecanyon as it is, since it contains documentation and main plugin zip.
  3. Go to Appearance -> Plugins on WordPress Dashboard, Click on Add New button from top left.
  4. Once the page has been opened, click on upload plugin from top left of the screen.
  5. Upload leap_chat.zip file and hit install .
  6. Sit tight, It may take some time!
  7. After Installtion is done, Activate the plugin.
  8. Now The most advanced Chat Plugin in installed into your WordPress!

Chat Admin

In this section we are going to cover , chat admin panel. All incoming chats are handled from here. Below all important points have been covered.

Chat Admin Tab

  • On the left of your dash board you can see your chat admin panel .
  • Click on that.
  • It will open your chat admin panel you can see all your visitors on right side. To enable a converstion, click on one of the visitors and it will be assigned to you.
  • On the top of the panel corner right side you can se you vistior with whom you are chatting.
  • When a new visitor wants to have a chat, then the new visitor will appear on the right side panel. An operator can have multiple chats at the same time.
  • On the top left corner you can see two red tab i.e END CHAT SESSION and CLOSE CHAT WINDOW TAB
    1. END CHAT SESSION-- when you click on end chat session tab the converstion will end there and the user will receive Thanks for Chatting message window.
    2. CLOSE CHAT WINDOW-- when you click on this window your chat box panel window will close.

Note : Once an operator has been assigned a chat, no other operator can view it !

Settings

There are 5 tabs in settings panel. We will go cover them one by one.

General Settings

  • Set Chat to Offline Mode -- You can set the chat offline or online mode from here. If the chat is in offline mode, then a contact form will appear from where visitor can send you the message. To edit offline related settings goto Offline tab.
  • Compact Bar Style-- From here you can set you bar style.
  • Main Font--From here you can set from over 600 google fonts for Chat box in front end.
  • Show or Hide Operator Information -- show Operator's image, name and designation set this option to show. You can edit these details in User.
  • Set your start message -- Here you can set your message which shows to the visitor in the front end when he start chat.
  • Background Colour-- You can set the background color for the compact bar from here.
  • Background image- You can set the background image for the compact bar and expanded view box from here.

Compact Bar Settings

  • Add title -- From this option you can set the title for your compact bar.
  • Set Icon -- set your chat icon from this option, click on the plus (+) icon and select your icon you want to set.

Expanded Bar Settings

  • Title Colour -- to set color of your title in expanded view
  • Title Top Position -- You can set the top position of the title from here, enter the value in px or %, for example 10px
  • Title Left Position -- You can set the left position of the title from here, enter the value in px or %, for example 10px
  • Title Width -- width of the title
  • Set logo -- You can set the logo for the expanded from here.
  • Logo Top Position -- You can set top position of your logo in expanded view from here.
  • Logo Left Position -- You can set the left position of your logo in expanded view from here.

Chat Box settings

  • Set Message on Chat Start -- set your start message which shows automatically when you start your chat.
  • Select Users for Live Chat Access -- You can select the permissions for the chat admin access. Only the selected wp admin users can view and operate the chat.
  • Enable Chat for Logged In Users only - - When you tick this option, only the users who have logged in your site can view the live chat
  • Set Title for Chat box when Opened -- Set title of your chat box when chat is opened this the title you set dispaly on the chat box.
  • Rest of the options in this chat contains stylings, all revelant information about which options styles what is mentioned in settings only.

Offline Mode Settings

  • From this option you can set your offline setting of your chat that what message you want to display when you are offline.
  • From here you can set your email adress also when you are offline. So whenever a visitor contacts you while you are not available, a message is send to the that email.

Front End

Chat Plugin front end view

  • As you activate the plugin, the chat box will automatically show up in the front end. No extra setting is required.
  • You have to just fill your name and email and start chatting.
  • Your chat will be shown in this format:-
  • When the operator is offline user can send his message in that offline mode also.
